Senior Engineering Program Manager (Fusion Energy)

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year

hirify.global is developing a simpler approach to commercial fusion energy using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils and advanced stellarator engineering.

What you will do

• Define and drive program plans across hardware design, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Own critical-path delivery and coordinate design, build, and test cycles for complex hardware components.
• Partner with technical leads to establish product requirements, validation strategies, decision gates, and documented design tradeoffs.
• Develop engineering BOM strategies and support new product introduction readiness while balancing performance, cost, availability, and manufacturability.
• Report program progress, technical challenges, risks, and proposed solutions to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage technical, schedule, budget, and quality risks through mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience leading complex, multidisciplinary engineering programs involving large-scale hardware development.
• Experience collaborating with physics, mechanical engineering, magnet engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and design-build-test cycles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex technical programs into clear risks, decisions, and priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.
