Backend Software Engineer (Java)

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable Java backend services using cloud-native technologies.
• Select and use AWS, Azure, or OCI technologies to build and deploy applications.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement cloud security measures and protect data and application integrity.
• Collaborate with frontend and other engineering teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex backend issues and keep current with cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of Java backend software development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot skills, with experience building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud applications.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or OCI; cloud databases; distributed middleware; APIs; and message queues.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and security best practices for cloud environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
