Software Engineer Backend (Java)

Location: New York, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 annual total compensation, including base salary and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and deploy applications for a networked digital identity platform.
• Develop and deliver code across the full stack while maintaining engineering standards for testing, documentation, and observability.
• Work with product stakeholders and other teams to define requirements, innovate, and solve complex technical problems.
• Make architectural decisions and drive continuous improvement in technology and engineering processes.
• Work with privacy, security, data modeling, and architecture concerns across multiple industries and domains.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend software development experience with Java.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications, including AWS.
• Working knowledge of several of Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Argo, and Jenkins.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Comfort with ambiguity, autonomy, curiosity, and continuous learning.
