Solar Installation & Maintenance Support, Johannesburg

What you will do

• Assist with electrical installations for grid-connected and photovoltaic solar systems, inverters, monitoring systems, and related equipment.
• Dig trenches, lay cables, install conduits and wireways, fit glands, and secure electrical cabling.
• Assist with installing luminaires, poles, ancillary equipment, and operating trenching machinery after training.
• Support the master installation electrician and coordinate with the engineering team on system specifications, guidelines, and best practices.
• Identify process improvements, troubleshoot electrical issues, and share solar-system knowledge with colleagues, installers, and customers.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid South African driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle to installation sites.
• Knowledge of electrical fundamentals, circuitry, photovoltaic systems, solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries.
• Experience in technical or electrical troubleshooting or the solar energy industry is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and initiative.
