Director, Corporate Development

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States of America

Salary: $206,050–$300,700 USD annually, plus potential bonus and/or equity for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead acquisition and divestiture transactions from target identification and engagement through structuring, valuation, negotiation, due diligence, approval, and integration.
• Develop inorganic strategies and execution plans with executives, managers, and contributors across global business units.
• Build and manage a deal pipeline with internal stakeholders, investment banks, and external advisors.
• Evaluate strategic fit, business models, risks, synergies, and value-creation opportunities to support executive decisions.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence teams and oversee reviews with C-level executives and Board members.
• Improve corporate development playbooks and processes while using AI tools and advanced analytics for research, market intelligence, financial analysis, and knowledge management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a buy-side transactional role such as corporate development or private equity.
• Experience managing complex projects and transactions.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information through executive-ready recommendations and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

• Experience in a major corporation, investment banking, or consulting.
