Location: Remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island
Salary: $141,500β$224,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $176,000β$264,000 annually.

What you will do
- Design and develop spacecraft subsystems, satellites, and constellations from concept through launch and operations.
- Lead subsystem and satellite integration planning, organization, and execution.
- Perform mission and system design, including technical responses to bids, reviews, presentations, and reports.
- Resolve hardware/software interface issues and define system input and output parameters.
- Develop, review, and execute satellite system and subsystem test configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, government representatives, and technical specialists.
Requirements
- 8+ years of space vehicle or payload design experience.
- Bachelorβs degree in Satellite Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience architecting, designing, developing, and fielding satellites, payloads, communication subsystems, and TT&C data networks.
- Deep familiarity with at least one spacecraft subsystem and experience with requirements management, system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience with orbital analysis and spacecraft simulation using STK, FreeFlyer, or custom tools, plus satellite mission operations experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance is required. Ability to travel up to 10%.
Nice to have
- Masterβs degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Low Earth Orbit operations experience.
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams across business development, systems, software, RF circuits, and FPGA design.
- Technical background in RF systems, including RADAR, electronic warfare, or communications.
- Experience leading multi-vehicle spacecraft missions from concept through on-orbit operations.
