Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: On-site in Columbia, South Carolina, United States, five days per week

Annual base salary: $108,236.66–$151,479.99

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop process engineers and technical specialists.
• Drive manufacturing process improvements in safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and cost.
• Analyze processes, identify bottlenecks and waste, and implement standardized work, process controls, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with production, quality, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, and product engineering teams to resolve operational and technical issues.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, facility changes, process technology implementation, new product introductions, and production readiness.
• Manage root cause analysis, corrective actions, budgets, timelines, resource planning, performance reporting, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operations improvement.
• 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization, Lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, Kanban, and process balancing.
• Experience with capital project execution, equipment qualification, production support, data analysis, ERP, MES, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and team development skills.

Nice to have

• PLC programming and automation knowledge.
• Experience with 2D/3D modeling software such as AutoCAD or Pro-E.
