Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing facility role

Salary: $114,000–$147,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a manufacturing engineering team responsible for safety, quality, yield, and production process stability.
• Troubleshoot factory process excursions on the production floor and act as the primary escalation point for daily process issues.
• Drive yield improvement, statistical process control, process capability, and reduction of manufacturing variability.
• Lead root-cause analyses, containment actions, customer complaint investigations, and sustainable corrective actions.
• Chair change control and maintain FMEAs, product control plans, manufacturing documentation, and quality standards.
• Partner with Operations, Customer Quality, NPI, and capital project teams on training, validation, production transfers, and metrology readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in semiconductor or precision materials manufacturing.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers and operations personnel and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong expertise in SPC, Quality, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, structured problem solving, statistical analysis, and process control systems.
• Experience with complex investigations, process stability and capability improvement, technical documentation, and executive or customer communication.
