Associate Analog Design Engineer (Analog IC)

What you will do

• Design and simulate high-speed analog mixed-signal IC products from concept through manufacturing using CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.
• Work with the extended engineering team to implement new designs to specification and support existing products.
• Capture and share simulation results, measurements, and design methodologies.
• Prepare technical reviews and product documentation.
• Evaluate high-speed analog circuits in the lab, and plan and report work progress.

Requirements

• BASc degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with significant IC design content. Relevant field experience is preferred.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing with high-speed CMOS and/or BiCMOS, with understanding of high-speed and RF design and layout concepts, device models, parasitics, and circuit non-idealities.
• Thorough understanding of analog circuit theory, transmission lines, and device fundamentals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment focused on growth and innovation.
• Experience with analog CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of RF modelling, Matlab, or system modelling software.
• Familiarity with high-speed components such as VCOs, PLLs, wide-band amplifiers, and data converters.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes, together with scripting knowledge such as Python.
