Associate Analog Design Engineer (High-Speed Analog IC)

What you will do

• Design and simulate high-speed analog mixed-signal IC products from concept through manufacturing.
• Develop new designs to specification and support existing products in collaboration with the extended engineering team.
• Capture and share simulation results, measurements, and design methodologies.
• Prepare technical reviews and product documentation.
• Evaluate high-speed analog circuits in the laboratory and report project progress.

Requirements

• BASc degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with significant IC design content.
• Experience designing high-speed CMOS and/or BiCMOS circuits, with understanding of RF design, layout concepts, device models, parasitics, and circuit non-idealities.
• Thorough knowledge of analog circuit theory, transmission lines, and device fundamentals.
• Experience with analog CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or an equivalent.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of RF modeling, Matlab, or system-modeling software.
• Familiarity with VCOs, PLLs, wide-band amplifiers, and data converters.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
