Continuous Improvement Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States; 10% travel to other facilities, customers, and suppliers.

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and apply Lean Six Sigma principles across manufacturing and business processes.
• Coordinate improvement activities, Lean events, and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable Lean Six Sigma plans and track annual improvement plans.
• Develop and standardize continuous improvement tools, processes, metrics, and daily improvement systems.
• Optimize site operations, including 5S, material flow, and Kanban systems, to support safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Train staff, guide improvement personnel, identify problems, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience using continuous improvement tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Lean Six Sigma experience and ability to facilitate improvement activities.
• Experience with statistical evaluation techniques, process capability analysis, and performance metrics is strongly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to execute improvement plans.
• Ability to work onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, and access U.S. export-controlled information.
