Test Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, and test propulsion components, combustion devices, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Verify flight hardware and document test results clearly and completely.
• Improve processes and enable automated acceptance testing.
• Investigate production non-conformances, determine root causes, and drive dispositions.
• Maintain process planning documents and perform maintenance and calibration of automated testing equipment.
• Create 2D drawings from 3D models and train and guide other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in propulsion or electronic assembly and/or test production, or a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Deep knowledge of safely operating pressure, electrical, power, and data acquisition systems.
• Proficiency with wiring, electrical systems, test capability fabrication, and parts acquisition.
• Ability to troubleshoot fluid and electrical systems and implement practical solutions.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering.
• 9+ years of experience supporting production and testing of complex components such as valves and actuators.
• Experience designing tooling in a hardware development environment.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently or as part of an integrated team.
