What you will do

  • Develop end-to-end test systems for flight electrical hardware, including circuit boards, optical devices, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, build, and maintain electrical test equipment, ground support hardware, racks, and integrated testbeds.
  • Develop automated testing solutions to collect, analyze, and document test data.
  • Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, GNC, software, integration, production, and design engineers to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Provide feedback to design engineers to improve the avionics ecosystem and derive test requirements for under-defined systems.
  • Travel with spacecraft to launch sites and conduct pre-launch tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • At least 2 years of experience testing electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in circuit board design using Altium Designer.
  • Experience designing and owning test systems from concept through implementation, and executing tests for product development and prototyping.
  • Strong organizational, project planning, meeting leadership, and technical communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience working on vehicle projects such as spacecraft, rockets, cars, boats, planes, or drones.
  • Experience designing test stands, hardware racks, and production-environment tests.
  • Experience with NI hardware such as cRIO and cDAQ.
  • Experience operating hazardous systems and using aerospace test equipment, including vibe tables and thermal chambers.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft systems, test campaigns, root-cause analysis, or failure analysis.
