TL;DR
Legal Counsel (SaaS/Compliance): Managing commercial contracts, GDPR, regulatory compliance, disputes, intellectual property, and legal guidance for Teamleader and Yuki with an accent on AI governance and technology regulation. Focus on translating the EU AI Act, NIS2, and EU Data Act into product and Terms of Service changes, negotiating complex agreements, and building scalable legal processes.
Location: Hybrid between the Ghent and Antwerp offices in Belgium, with at least three office days per week in total.

What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, partnership, DPA, and service agreements, including escalated negotiations and contested terminations.
- Provide legal guidance for strategic projects involving pricing, product changes, and AI integration.
- Manage GDPR compliance and broader regulatory requirements, including NIS2, the EU Data Act, the EU AI Act, and Belgian implementing law.
- Lead AI governance by assessing AI vendors and tools, creating internal usage guidelines, and advising product and go-to-market teams.
- Handle disputes and pre-litigation matters, including claims, insurer notifications, external counsel coordination, and opposing-counsel correspondence.
- Oversee corporate housekeeping, intellectual property matters, day-to-day legal inquiries, and the development of legal processes.
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent law degree and eligibility to practice law in Belgium.
- At least two years of experience in a legal role.
- Experience with GDPR-related matters; familiarity with NIS2, the EU Data Act, or the EU AI Act is an asset.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with strong organization and attention to detail.
- Professional proficiency in English and Dutch.
- Ability to work from both the Ghent and Antwerp offices every week, with a minimum of three office days per week.
