TL;DR

AI Legal Specialist (AI Compliance/Data Protection): Managing legal and compliance workflows for an AI companionship platform with an accent on GDPR assessments, AI governance documentation, consumer rights, contracts, and product reviews. Focus on researching regulatory developments, preparing risk assessments, updating legal terms, and reviewing uncensored AI-generated NSFW content.

Location: Work from anywhere; fully remote. The company is based in Belgium, with an annual in-person gathering.

Salary: €55,000–€85,000 per year.

What you will do

Own legal and compliance workflows across data protection, AI governance, consumer rights, and safety regulations.
Prepare GDPR-related contracts and assessments, including DPAs and Transfer Impact Assessments.
Maintain compliance documentation, the AI systems inventory, and applicable risk assessments.
Review products, features, contracts, intellectual property issues, and legal terms such as Terms of Service, Privacy Notices, and content policies.
Research legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical recommendations with the Legal & Safety Lead.
Review and discuss uncensored AI-generated content, including NSFW material, while testing the platform.

Requirements

Legal education, such as a Master of Laws, Juris Doctor, or recognized legal certification.
2–6 years of experience as legal counsel or in a similar role.
At least 2 years of experience with contracts and data protection law, including DPAs and Transfer Impact Assessments.
Experience contacting vendors about contract-related issues and interest in B2C legal matters.
Ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English and collaborate effectively.
Perfectly fluent English and comfort reviewing uncensored AI-generated and NSFW content are required.

Nice to have

Full certification as an attorney or legal counsel.
Experience in fast-growing startups, BTC, or AI compliance.
Fluency in additional languages.
