Licensing Manager (Nuclear)

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work onsite there for the first two weeks of onboarding.

Salary: $50,000–$166,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documents, programs, and supporting activities for advanced reactor technologies.
• Translate nuclear regulatory requirements into engineering and licensing requirements for systems and components.
• Coordinate with design engineers to review technical materials and ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements.
• Support licensing project management, including submissions, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and prepare licensing presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Develop and defend licensing positions where existing regulatory frameworks do not apply, and lead resolution of strategic licensing issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge of 10 CFR 50, 10 CFR 52, NRC Regulatory Guides, and related nuclear regulatory guidance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university; equivalent experience may qualify.
• Experience coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing objectives.
• Strong verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to meet the required Santa Clara travel and onboarding schedule for remote work.
