TL;DR
Head of Community Affairs (Nuclear Energy): Building community engagement strategies and local partnerships for the deployment of factory-fabricated microreactors with an accent on public trust, workforce development, and community benefits. Focus on translating complex nuclear technology for diverse audiences, navigating community and regulatory concerns, and building regional teams and talent pipelines.

Location: Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site at the Austin, TX headquarters. Frequent travel to deployment sites and target communities across the country is required.

Salary: Starting at $150,000 annually.

hirify.global Atomics develops factory-fabricated microreactors to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power, beginning with the 10 MWe hirify.global-1 reactor.

What you will do

  • Develop and lead community engagement strategies for regions targeted for microreactor deployment.
  • Build trust with local governments, community leaders, environmental groups, residents, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and host town halls, educational workshops, and community forums.
  • Build partnerships with community colleges, workforce boards, training providers, and community institutions.
  • Support local economic opportunity, educational access, workforce readiness, and community participation.
  • Collaborate with Policy, Regulatory, Product, and Marketing teams, and build and mentor a team of community regional managers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, workforce development, or corporate social responsibility.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role managing teams and high-stakes budgets.
  • Proven success navigating complex public sentiment, regulatory environments, or localized community resistance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Communications, Education, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person and comply with 10 CFR Part 810; non-compliant foreign citizenships are not permitted.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, technology, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
