Community Engagement Liaison - Central Region

Location: DFW01_02; candidates must be based within or willing to travel between Aligned's Central Region markets and dedicate at least three days per week to in-person engagement with community stakeholders.

What you will do

• Build and manage relationships with host communities throughout the full data center project lifecycle.
• Engage residents, community organizations, local media, business leaders, NGOs, and public officials while maintaining an active feedback loop.
• Educate communities about data center developments and communicate their local benefits.
• Represent Aligned at community events, public forums, council meetings, public hearings, and open houses.
• Translate engineering, environmental, and technical information into clear public-facing messaging and actionable internal insights.
• Coordinate engagement strategies, community sentiment monitoring, communications, and local workforce development initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, local government, real estate development, or strategic communications.
• Ability to explain complex engineering, environmental, or technical data to non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional public speaking, interpersonal, active listening, and emotional intelligence skills.
• Experience speaking at town halls, zoning boards, and community meetings.
• Ability to synthesize community feedback into strategic recommendations for communications, development, construction, energy, and operations teams.
• Demonstrated success building community alliances, navigating sensitive public issues, and supporting workforce, education, or infrastructure programs.

• Experience in data centers, energy, or large-scale infrastructure.
