Systems Engineering Intern (New York) (AI)

Location: New York, United States. The roughly 12-week summer program is expected to run from June to August 2027.

Salary: $21,000 monthly base salary, plus overtime pay, a $15,000 sign-on bonus, housing support, travel coverage, and additional stipends.

What you will do

• Collaborate on software development and infrastructure projects across Linux and Windows management, database infrastructure, application engineering, DevOps, and information security.
• Develop full-stack web applications and firmwide technical solutions.
• Build tools to identify software vulnerabilities and improve infrastructure-level systems.
• Develop automation for operating system upgrades and improve the efficiency of large-scale infrastructure operations.
• Enhance security information and event management systems while collaborating with teams across Systems.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a four-year undergraduate or postgraduate degree, typically approaching the final year of full-time study.
• Study in computer science, computer engineering, or another technical discipline, or demonstrable equivalent interests or experience.
• Strong computer science foundation demonstrated through internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions.
• Proficiency in algorithms, software development, systems infrastructure, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Ability to code in Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Ability to participate in the program in New York; previous finance experience is not required.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Windows, Linux/UNIX, cloud, networking, or information security infrastructure.
