Systems Engineer - Intern (PowerShell/Python)

Location: Piscataway, NJ, USA; onsite work required

What you will do

• Install and configure operating systems and application software for customer orders.
• Set up VPNs and infrastructure with IT and security teams.
• Monitor and test application and system performance under supervision.
• Develop and test basic PowerShell and Python automation scripts.
• Validate and troubleshoot firmware and device drivers.
• Shadow senior engineers during Linux server, switch, storage, and firewall configuration and deployment, while documenting procedures and findings.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing toward a bachelor’s degree.
• Basic familiarity with Linux, Windows, or networking concepts.
• Beginner-level ability to assist with operating system and application software installation and configuration.
• Beginner-level ability to develop and troubleshoot PowerShell or Python automation scripts.
• Intermediate documentation, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.
• Must be available for the full 12-week internhirify.globalp and authorized to work in the U.S.; onsite work is required as part of the internhirify.globalp program.
