Certified Health Coach - Remote

Location: Remote; availability required for shifts between 10:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. CST, plus every fourth Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST

Compensation: $21.50 per hour, or $25 per hour with NBC-HWC or CHES certification

What you will do

• Conduct inbound and outbound engagement, coaching, and follow-up calls with program participants.
• Provide individualized behavior-change coaching to reduce health risks and encourage healthier habits.
• Coordinate services and care with nurses, external vendors, and other members of a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage assigned schedules and caseloads in either a one-to-one or team-based model.
• Participate in daily and monthly meetings and present findings and insights.
• Document interactions and track member progress and program effectiveness.

Requirements

• Completed training from an NBHWC-certified training program.
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field such as psychology, nutrition, or exercise science.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to use motivational interviewing.
• Ability to conduct telephonic coaching while navigating software and entering data for extended periods.
• Computer data-entry proficiency and Microsoft Office skills.
• Availability for flexible shifts, rotating Saturdays, and six weeks of mandatory training from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST; missed training days are not permitted.

Nice to have

• Active NBHWC wellness coaching board certification or CHES certification.
• Experience delivering coaching through chat.
• Experience with contact-center benchmarks, metrics, and schedule adherence.
• Knowledge of smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep topics.
