Expert Coach II - CDCES

Location: USA - Any Location (Remote). Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $36–$40 per hour, plus performance bonus and benefits subject to eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide 1:1 whole-person coaching and education to support behavior change and improve clinical outcomes.
• Assess members’ skills, knowledge, barriers, and motivation, then tailor coaching to their needs.
• For diabetes management, deliver autonomous education and coaching based on the ADCES 7 Self-Care Behaviors and evidence-based recommendations.
• Facilitate live diabetes-focused learning events and contribute to educational content such as handouts, videos, podcasts, and presentations.
• Participate in process improvement, mandated meetings, training, and scheduling practices.
• Mentor less experienced coaches and share clinical expertise across the team and company.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Current Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required, including the required 75 CEUs over five years.
• At least 3 years of professional healthcare experience.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes science and current treatment options.
• Ability to apply evidence-based principles, interpret the ADCES 7 DSME/T education model, and provide quality member coaching.
• Coaching approach aligned with Motivational Interviewing and member-centered care.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a health-related field such as behavior, nutrition, or exercise.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills.
• National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) certification.
