Field Applications Engineer (FPGA/SoC)

Location: France - Courtaboeuf Cedex; regular travel within France and occasional travel across Europe required. Travel time: 25%-50%.

What you will do

• Support customers in adopting FPGA and SoC solutions across key market segments.
• Work with customers, sales teams, and product specialists on technical projects.
• Help accelerate customer designs from concept through production.
• Provide technical guidance on FPGA architectures, development flows, simulation, verification, timing closure, and embedded systems.
• Identify new business opportunities and translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Travel regularly to support customers and projects in France and Europe.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in FPGA design, digital design, or field application engineering.
• Knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA architectures, simulation, verification, timing analysis, and timing closure.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, processor-based architectures, and high-speed interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and SERDES.
• Experience supporting customer projects in a technical role, with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and French required.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGA SoC platforms integrating ARM or RISC-V processors.
• Knowledge of Linux, RTOS, and embedded software development.
• Experience in aerospace and defense, industrial automation, communications infrastructure, or automotive applications.
• Familiarity with functional safety and cybersecurity requirements.
• Previous customer-facing experience as an FAE, Application Engineer, Design Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
