Level 2 ISP Field Application Engineer

Base salary: $95,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Resolve complex ISP customer issues escalated by pre-sales, sales, and Level 1 support teams.
• Deliver remote and on-site technical support for product deployment, interoperability, and network troubleshooting.
• Analyze ISP bid requirements, validate technical solutions, and support acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on broadband access solution implementation.
• Support U.S. ISP customers, provide internal and external technical training, and build technical relationships.
• Validate new ISP products and maintain knowledge bases with troubleshooting processes, testing experience, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical support, network solutions, ISP broadband access, or carrier-related roles.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, and VPN architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi routers, Mesh, GPON/XGS-PON, and 4G/5G FWA devices.
• Ability to analyze logs and packet captures, design technical solutions, support customer training, and collaborate on carrier-level deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and availability to respond to urgent cases outside regular working hours.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with TR-069/TR-181 ISP provisioning and management technologies.
• Experience with ISP bid analysis and technical solution development.
