Client IT Engineer (Microsoft 365)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States — hybrid, with regular travel to client sites across the Bay Area. Candidates must already be based in the area; relocation is not supported.

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Support client environments across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoints, networks, and servers onsite and remotely.
• Own client relationships and deliver small IT projects end to end.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, networking, and endpoint management across multiple client environments.
• Explain technical issues to non-technical staff and executives, and maintain clear documentation.
• Manage a personal schedule and travel to client sites across the Bay Area.

Requirements

• At least three years of IT support experience.
• Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with networks, servers, endpoints, and identity systems.
• Solid Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, and networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and adapt explanations to different audiences.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area at the time of hire and comfortable driving to client sites.

Nice to have

• Multi-client or managed service provider experience.
• CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) certification.
