Electrical Engineer - Spacecraft Avionics II / III

What you will do

• Design the electrical architecture and integrate avionics components onto spacecraft.
• Develop, write, and verify spacecraft avionics requirements.
• Create and execute assembly procedures, functional validation processes, and system-level test campaigns.
• Develop design verification, qualification, and acceptance test plans with avionics and manufacturing teams.
• Support assembly, integration, test, launch integration, and on-orbit operations.
• Develop hardware-in-the-loop systems and collaborate with software, mechanical, propulsion, fluids, and structures teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace component development, testing, integration, or operations.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, electronic loads, and multimeters.
• Hands-on experience prototyping and testing circuits, conducting trade and sensitivity studies, and selecting architecture options.
• Experience writing requirements, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with Python and a proactive, self-starting approach.

Nice to have

• Spacecraft avionics system design, power engineering, PCB or hardware design, or software engineering experience with C, C++, Python, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with project planning, subcontractor management, root cause analysis, V-model methodology, or FMEA.
• Experience with spacecraft grounding and bonding, environmental testing, NASA GEVS, SMC-016, or MIL-STD-461 EMC testing.
• Ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines and regulatory authorities.
