Salary: $132,149–$193,856.30 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical authority for mechanical infrastructure across mission-critical data centers.
• Lead cooling capacity planning, thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and environmental optimization for existing and high-density compute environments.
• Define equipment specifications, evaluate products, and review mechanical designs, drawings, submittals, piping diagrams, and airflow models.
• Support construction, installation, testing, commissioning, turnover, maintenance planning, and operational readiness for mechanical infrastructure projects.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident response, thermal event investigations, and infrastructure risk reviews.
• Evaluate and deploy emerging solutions including liquid cooling, rear-door heat exchangers, direct-to-chip cooling, economization, and energy optimization.

Requirements

• US citizenship and 10+ years of experience supporting mission-critical data center environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Deep expertise in critical cooling systems, HVAC, psychrometrics, airflow dynamics, heat transfer, thermal load calculations, and thermal management architecture.
• Experience with cooling capacity analysis, airflow modeling, high-density compute environments, rack-level thermal optimization, and operation and maintenance of critical mechanical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE guidelines, applicable mechanical and building codes, construction drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Visio.
