Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: New York, NY; hybrid arrangement with in-office work required three days a week. Some travel to US sites is required.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead the overall technical execution and quality of assigned mechanical engineering projects.
• Design mechanical and plumbing components, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and life safety integrations.
• Perform engineering calculations and thermal and fluid dynamics analysis.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment, conduct energy efficiency analysis, and coordinate systems with other disciplines.
• Oversee discipline-specific personnel and approve Mechanical work products through quality control programs.
• Support site design, permitting, facility condition assessments, capital asset planning, construction administration, and field activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, IBC, and IMC codes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ability to work from the New York office three days per week and travel to US sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, or other mechanical system modeling and drafting software.
