Avionics Production Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the electronics manufacturing facility in Cedar Park, Texas, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required for ITAR compliance.

What you will do

• Fabricate and assemble high-quality wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Assemble, integrate, repair, and test avionics harnesses and flight hardware.
• Perform wire splicing, soldering, pinning, crimping, connector termination, and layup.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Document completed work for QA inspection and provide engineering feedback on discrepancies and design improvements.
• Follow FOD, tool control, 5-S, safety, and on-time delivery requirements.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in wire harness assembly or box and battery assembly.
• Basic technical skills in electro-mechanical assembly and the dexterity to perform hands-on harness assembly for extended periods.
• Experience with wire preparation, connector termination, soldering, crimping, and harness layup.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-610, and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office, plus strong communication, teamwork, concentration, and attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor fellow team members; Level III members mentor Level I and II members.

Nice to have

• Experience working with flight hardware in a fast-paced production environment.
• Military or civilian aircraft production experience.
• IPC 620, IPC 610, or J-STD certifications.
