TL;DR

Location: On-site in San Carlos, California, United States
Salary: $22.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on level

Corp. is building satellite infrastructure for the orbital economy, including systems for space-based energy transmission, on-orbit computing, and secure optical data communications.
What you will do
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components on launch vehicles and spacecraft.
- Fabricate, route, and terminate wire harnesses according to engineering drawings and workmanship standards.
- Perform continuity tests, functional checkouts, and end-to-end signal verification using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and specialized equipment.
- Support avionics integration and final assembly in cleanroom and production-floor environments.
- Document work in MES/MRP systems, including redlines, non-conformance reports, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve hardware anomalies and support launch campaign operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of hands-on avionics, electrical, or electronics assembly and testing experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience with standard electronic test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Ability to solder, crimp, and terminate connectors to J-STD-001 or equivalent standards.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and launch-related schedules is required.
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering technology, or an Airframe and Powerplant license.
- IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or NASA workmanship certifications.
- Experience with spaceflight hardware in cleanrooms.
- Familiarity with thermal vacuum, vibration, or acoustic testing.
