Focus on building flight hardware to exacting workmanship standards, inspecting assemblies, and supporting launch-vehicle production and testing under tight deadlines.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand; onsite work in a New Zealand office

What you will do

  • Install avionics and mechanical components on Electron launch vehicles.
  • Install wiring harnesses and high-voltage batteries.
  • Perform precision assembly, crimping, soldering, and harness termination.
  • Build, launch, and test launch vehicles or their components using tools, equipment, and facilities.
  • Inspect and manufacture components to high workmanship standards while supporting production and launch schedules.

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in a relevant industry.
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with precision avionics and mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to perform high-precision crimping, soldering, and harness termination.
  • Ability to work to exacting standards, including cleanliness requirements for oxygen service.
  • Understanding of standard industry ESD practices, strong eyesight, and ability to inspect and manufacture high-quality assemblies.

  • Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings.
  • Initiative, resilience under pressure, and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
