Avionics Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $28–$31/hour for Level I, $32–$35/hour for Level II, $35–$40/hour for Level III, or $35–$42/hour for Lead, plus equity.

What you will do

• Fabricate, crimp, terminate, label, lace, and overbraid wire harnesses to required workmanship standards.
• Solder and rework PCB assemblies and connector terminations.
• Modify and integrate commercial off-the-shelf components according to engineering instructions.
• Assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and test avionics stacks and related electromechanical assemblies.
• Flash and verify software or firmware configurations and document the results.
• Record build steps, inspections, traceability, calibration status, and work orders in the manufacturing execution system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience manufacturing wire harnesses and/or electromechanical assemblies.
• At least 1 year of experience using electronic test equipment such as DMMs, bench power supplies, DAQ systems, or test fixtures.
• Basic electronics theory, troubleshooting fundamentals, and experience reading schematics, drawings, and controlled technical documentation.
• Experience with precision measuring tools, inspection methods, ESD practices, and quality-focused manufacturing.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; the role may involve access to EAR- and ITAR-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or J-STD-001 certification.
• Experience in robotics, defense, aerospace, or avionics manufacturing.
• Experience building harnesses and electromechanical assemblies in high-production or prototype environments.
