AIT Technician - EGSE (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Satellite manufacturer providing end-to-end satellite design, production, launch planning, mission operations, and on-orbit support for aerospace, defense, civil, and commercial customers.

What you will do

• Assemble, integrate, maintain, and functionally test electrical ground support equipment, test racks, and related infrastructure.
• Perform electrical checkout, verification, measurements, and troubleshooting of basic avionics, electrical, and EGSE faults.
• Route, terminate, fabricate, and install wire harnesses supporting spacecraft hardware integration.
• Read and follow work instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures while updating hardware status and configuration records.
• Maintain cleanroom cleanliness, ESD precautions, safe equipment handling, organized work areas, and quality-control standards.
• Support lab operations through kitting, inventory, organization, and other integration activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of hands-on technician experience in electromechanical assembly, spacecraft hardware manufacturing, or test equipment integration.
• Experience with wire harness routing, fabrication, or spaceflight hardware integration; EGSE or test-rack experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, multimeters, power supplies, continuity testers, and related electrical tools.
• Ability to use Windows, Microsoft Office, and browser applications; communicate clearly and maintain accurate documentation.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance are required. Export-control eligibility or authorization is also required.

Nice to have

• J-STD-001 certification.
• Experience with AS9100 standards and electromechanical integration best practices.
