Avionics Technician, All Levels (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Middle River, Maryland, United States. The role requires standing and walking for 8+ hours, working at heights and in tight spaces, and flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.

Base pay: $30–$40 USD per hour, with the level and exact salary determined by knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Install avionics, fluid systems, mechanical components, and other systems on Neutron launch vehicles.
• Perform troubleshooting, functional tests, inspections, and integrated systems testing.
• Complete precision assembly work including crimping, soldering, and wire harness termination.
• Use electrical, mechanical, and automated test equipment and specialist tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet production and launch schedules.
• Set up 5S work centers and shift between multiple high-priority tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with avionics or electrical systems across multiple platforms; experience requirements range from entry level to 8+ years for senior-level positions.
• Experience with precision electrical or mechanical assembly and manufacturing components to high workmanship standards.
• Experience installing and fabricating harnesses, including crimping, soldering, and harness tie-in.
• Ability to operate electrical, mechanical, and automated test equipment, including multimeters, milliohmmeters, and DC power supplies.
• Working understanding of standard industry ESD policies and ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings.
• For U.S. office roles, candidates must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Maintenance experience including troubleshooting, precision cleaning, disassembly, assembly, and system testing.
• Ability to read and build assembly drawings.
• Experience using forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, power tools, and torque wrenches.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently and in teams.
