Staff Engineer, Composite Manufacturing (Aerospace)

Location: Dallas, Texas; on-site

Salary: $127,771–$191,657 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Lead the design, optimization, and scale-up of composite manufacturing processes across multiple aircraft programs.
• Launch the manufacturing engineering effort for a new production line supporting a next-generation jet.
• Develop CPD/Fibersim definitions and producibility assessments for composite parts.
• Select and deploy manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and hardware/software systems.
• Work with vendors, engineering, supply chain, and production to integrate new technologies.
• Mentor engineers and production personnel while standardizing manufacturing performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a rapid-growth environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
• Experience with Composite Part Design, Fibersim, and Generative Shape Design.
• Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, including machining, lamination, and assembly.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing, automation systems, ERP/MRP systems, and data-driven manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and tooling design.
• Project management experience across multiple priorities and deadlines.
