Sr. Manager, Industrial Engineering (Aerospace): Leading the Industrial Engineering organization to define and optimize systems across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain with an accent on process design and capacity analysis. Focus on implementing lean methodologies, developing Manufacturing System Design (MSD), and utilizing discrete event simulation for throughput optimization.

Location: Based at hirify.global’s headquarters in San Jose, California, United States. hirify.global is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary: $182,500 - $228,100

What you will do

  • Lead the Industrial Engineering organization to standardize and optimize systems across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Own the development of Manufacturing System Design (MSD) to integrate people, machines, materials, and information.
  • Standardize IE methodologies, including VSM, PFEP, EPEI analysis, and OEE calculations.
  • Oversee plant and warehouse layout design, space utilization, and material flow paths.
  • Deploy discrete event simulation and digital twin modeling to evaluate throughput and validate production scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the start-up and ramp-up of new factories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Deep expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with time studies, motion analysis (MODAPTS), and work measurement tools.
  • Proficiency with discrete event simulation and plant layout tools.
  • Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

  • Experience in the aerospace or EV industry.
  • Experience with Siemens Plant Simulation, Siemens Manufacturing Process Planner, or EasyPlan.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
