TL;DR
Senior Manager, Cyber Security (Cybersecurity): Leading a newly created observability and vulnerability management team while maturing security engineering, security operations tooling, and exposure management with an accent on enterprise security tools, vulnerability lifecycle practices, and measurable risk reduction. Focus on validating security coverage, prioritizing remediation, directing incident response, and translating technical findings into executive-level security decisions.

Location: United States; hybrid in San Antonio, TX with two office days and three remote days, or 100% remote outside San Antonio within the US. Infrequent travel of 0–10% annually may be required.

Salary: $148,011–$217,082.80 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an employee stock purchase plan.

What you will do

  • Lead a newly created observability and vulnerability management team.
  • Direct security engineering, security operations tooling, vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident investigation, and infrastructure or cloud security activities.
  • Manage and assess enterprise security tools, including EDR, NDR, IDPS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, exposure management platforms, SIEM/SOAR integrations, and cloud security tooling.
  • Translate technical findings into remediation priorities, risk decisions, operational plans, metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Develop and implement global security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Oversee incident response planning, security breach investigations, business continuity, data loss prevention, fraud prevention, and independent security audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience and 4+ years of relevant technical management experience.
  • Experience owning enterprise security tools, vulnerability management programs, operational metrics, vendor relationships, and cross-functional remediation outcomes.
  • Hands-on expertise evaluating security tool deployment, integration, tuning, monitoring, telemetry, coverage, and risk reduction.
  • Strong understanding of asset discovery, authenticated scanning, vulnerability validation, CVSS/EPSS prioritization, remediation tracking, exception management, SLA governance, and executive reporting.
  • Work must be performed in the United States; San Antonio-based employees follow a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC, OSCP, GPEN, or an equivalent certification.
