Financial Planning & Analysis, Senior Analyst, R&D Finance

Location: Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite. Candidates based in the Buenos Aires vicinity will be prioritized.

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering and Product Management leadership on R&D planning, resource allocation, and strategic financial decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, scenario modeling, driver-based forecasting, and monthly close processes.
• Prepare variance analyses, executive business reviews, dashboards, KPI reporting, and actionable recommendations.
• Manage cloud hosting, infrastructure, capital expenditure, and software development capitalization reporting under US GAAP.
• Analyze product profitability, usage telemetry, investment trade-offs, and technology cost optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Corporate FP&A, and Engineering and Product Management Operations teams on reporting and process improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of FP&A experience supporting business finance functions, including monthly close, variance analysis, headcount reconciliation, and Accounting collaboration.
• Experience with financial planning tools such as Anaplan, Workday, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience building complex financial models.
• Professional working English proficiency, spoken and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 3 onsite days per week in Buenos Aires.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Engineering, Product, or other technical organizations in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Knowledge of capital expenditure, software development capitalization, US GAAP, SaaS metrics, and subscription business models.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake or SQL for analyzing large financial datasets.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude or other LLMs for analysis and reporting.
• Experience at public or private equity-owned companies and exposure to investor reporting.
