Financial Modeling Specialist (FP&A, Investment Banking & Strategic Finance)

Location: Remote in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, or Colombia; availability during U.S. client business hours required

hirify.global is recruiting for a YC-backed technology company operating at the intersection of finance and AI.

What you will do

• Build sophisticated three-statement, operating, forecasting, KPI, revenue, cost, cash flow, and business performance models.
• Develop financial assumptions, drivers, forecasts, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses, and variance analyses.
• Review and audit models for formula accuracy, accounting logic, structural integrity, revenue recognition, and cash flow alignment.
• Improve modeling templates, standards, documentation, repeatable frameworks, and scalable model architecture.
• Apply financial expertise to structured AI training and financial reasoning workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide structured feedback or mentorship to analysts and peers.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of hands-on financial modeling experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, accrual versus cash accounting, cash flow mechanics, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial statement relationships.
• Experience building and auditing complex financial models from scratch.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independence, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and availability during U.S. client business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI projects or AI training workflows.
• Exposure to structured datasets or analytical data workflows.
• Experience reviewing other analysts' models, developing templates, documenting methodologies, or mentoring junior analysts.
• Background in investment banking, private equity, FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, financial consulting, transaction advisory, or accounting and financial modeling.
• Experience with fast-growing technology or startup environments.
