Director, Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote - California, United States

Annual base salary: $240,000–$270,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy for hirify.global’s engagement ecosystem, including storefronts, digital purchases, subscriptions, venues, and events.
• Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams while fostering an inclusive culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Guide the delivery of multiple cross-platform projects through estimation, planning, roadmap execution, and iterative value delivery.
• Drive platform integration across hirify.global Electronics, hirify.global Pictures, hirify.global Sports, and other hirify.global operating companies.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, product managers, business users, and cross-functional technical teams across time zones.
• Improve engineering performance, processes, outcomes, and organizational capabilities in a distributed environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; an MS in Computer Science is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in commerce, fintech, or digital platforms, including at least 7 years in engineering leadership.
• Expertise in commerce platforms, digital storefronts, subscriptions, account management, and identity systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as microservices and event-driven systems.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven personalization, intelligent search, recommendation systems, audience segmentation, lifecycle management, and campaign automation.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and similar compliance standards, plus experience influencing executives and leading dispersed engineering teams.
