Field Service Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, US; field-based role with approximately 40%–75% travel, including some overnight travel.

Salary: $40.00–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide on-site and telephone technical support for product installation, inspection, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergency service calls and schedule preventive maintenance visits within the assigned territory.
• Document service activities according to company policies and procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to the Field Sales team and support service contract renewals and new contract opportunities.
• Maintain loaner and test equipment, spare parts inventory, company assets, and other service supplies.
• Escalate unresolved customer service issues while complying with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Technical proficiency with schematics, system diagrams, and repair or replacement procedures.
• Mechanical and electromechanical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
• Associate of Science degree in electronics, electromechanical technology, biomedical engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent military training or experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in field service, medical devices, technical repair, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, organization, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and basic to intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
