TL;DR
Electrical Engineer II (Semiconductor): Supporting production and continuous improvement of particle analyzers and concentration monitors with an accent on electromechanical design, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing process support. Focus on diagnosing electrical issues, improving hardware manufacturability and reliability, and supporting new product introductions across cross-functional engineering and supplier teams.

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; occasional travel between Bloomington and Chaska sites may be required. Onsite production-floor and cleanroom work is required.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annual salary, based on experience.

What you will do

  • Provide daily production support for electrical components and assemblies used in instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting production yield and product quality.
  • Maintain operating procedures, test specifications, test methods, component drawings, and engineering change orders.
  • Partner with design engineering to improve the manufacturability and reliability of electrical hardware.
  • Support new product introductions by preparing manufacturing processes, test setups, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, quality, and supplier teams while using standard electrical test equipment during builds and pilot runs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production support for electrical products.
  • Ability to read schematics and understand analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, other electrical test tools, and PCB design software.
  • Familiarity with lasers, photodetectors, optoelectronic components, pumps, flowmeters, or fluid-handling systems.
  • Must have the right to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with low-noise analog circuits or sensor interfaces.
  • Exposure to microcontrollers or digital electronics.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, medical, or aerospace industries.
