Production Planner III (Carbon Composites)

Location: United States eligibility required under ITAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Own production plans for composite work centers including layup, curing, machining, bonding, and finishing.
• Coordinate prepreg, dry fiber, resin systems, adhesives, films, tooling, and other materials required for composite builds.
• Track manufacturing orders, work in progress, travelers, bottlenecks, and delivery readiness.
• Create recovery plans for delays, expired materials, rework, and other unplanned production issues.
• Coordinate with Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Technicians, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support schedule-driven design changes, new product introduction, quarterly capacity planning, and planner mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of production planning or scheduling experience, including 2 years in composites or aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of carbon and glass fiber composites, resin systems, layup, vacuum bagging, and autoclave or oven curing.
• Proficiency with MRP or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo, plus Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for U.S. space technology.

Nice to have

• APICS or ASCM certification.
• Hands-on experience with composite kitting, layup, bonding, or NDI operations.
• Familiarity with ITAR and AS9100 aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or similar production analytics tools.
