Production Controller (Aerospace)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; on site full time. BPSS clearance eligibility and willingness to obtain clearance are required.

Salary: GBP 30,000–50,000 per year.

What you will do

• Monitor and track daily production progress in a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate activities between shop floor, planning, and supply chain teams.
• Identify production deviations and propose mitigation and recovery plans.
• Track work orders and manufacturing status accurately in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Support production reviews, audits, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain stakeholder communication to support on-time delivery against programme objectives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in production control, production planning, or shopfloor coordination.
• Experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing and aerospace, defence, or comparable industries.
• Strong understanding of production tracking and scheduling processes.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain BPSS security clearance.

• Experience with aerospace manufacturing or payload systems.
• Familiarity with production audits and compliance processes.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes.
