IT Systems Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's Auckland Production Complex in Mt. Wellington, Auckland, New Zealand

What you will do

• Implement, administer, and operate VMware, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server, and Windows Client environments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and provide technical guidance for IT systems and infrastructure projects.
• Plan and deploy infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain automated software delivery, operating system deployment, packaging, and configuration-management processes across the enterprise SCCM hierarchy.
• Develop, test, and distribute operating systems, application packages, scripts, and batch programs.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform risk-mitigation activities during system changes and transitions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma or GED and 9+ years of total experience.
• In-depth Windows Server administration knowledge, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI certificate management, DNS, or DHCP.
• Experience with AWS and/or enterprise O365 and Azure environments.
• Experience with one or more of Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, configuration management, automation, or infrastructure as code.
• Experience with server and storage hardware, backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, or VOIP phone systems.
• For New Zealand office roles, nationality checks and ITAR eligibility are required; eligible citizenship may include Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the European Union, or a NATO country.

Nice to have

• Specialist qualifications in AWS, Azure, Microsoft, or a related area.
• Experience with Juniper or Cisco switching, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, or firewalls.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC, or CUI security frameworks and technologies.
• Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
