Senior Network Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Own the performance, reliability, scalability, and day-to-day operation of the collar and tower network.
• Design and evolve network architecture across LoRa-based wireless protocols, cellular backhaul, tower infrastructure, and edge-to-cloud data flows.
• Diagnose coverage gaps, latency issues, interference patterns, and communication problems using monitoring, data analysis, field feedback, and network diagnostics.
• Lead tower deployment strategy, including site selection, configuration, provisioning automation, and remote management for zero-touch scalability.
• Partner with firmware, backend, product, technical, and commercial teams to improve end-to-end connectivity and telemetry delivery.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, plan Network team work, and participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale wireless networks, including LPWAN/LoRa, cellular/3GPP, or similar low-power, long-range protocols.
• End-to-end ownership of network architecture and production operations at scale.
• Experience across RF and antenna behaviour, tower hardware, edge devices, and cloud systems consuming network data.
• Experience with observability and monitoring for distributed or IoT systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers and making technical decisions through complex or ambiguous problems.
• Willingness to work on farms and participate in 24/7 on-call support.

Nice to have

• Experience with mesh networking, spectrum management, or infrastructure in remote and rural environments.
• Experience with IoT-scale telemetry systems serving thousands to millions of devices.
• Experience with provisioning automation and remote or zero-touch device management.
