Production Network Architect

What you will do

• Own the global production network strategy across factories, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Define reference architecture for scalable manufacturing networks, including security, redundancy, and device onboarding.
• Set readiness standards for network deployment, validation, and incident response.
• Drive cross-functional execution for new country and site launches.
• Mentor engineers and establish repeatable patterns for safe network deployment.
• Travel internationally as required (approximately 20%) to oversee site-specific network implementations.

Requirements

• Proven technical leadership in mission-critical network environments such as manufacturing, industrial, or data centers.
• Deep architecture experience with routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and secure remote access.
• Track record of scaling network infrastructure across multiple sites or countries.
• Strong judgment in balancing velocity, security, uptime, and cost.
• Excellent communication skills to align cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Must be able to work on-site in Auckland, New Zealand.

Nice to have

• Practical experience designing networks for factory infrastructure, including production lines, test stations, and Linux-based test PCs.
