Technician IV - Failure Analysis

What you will do

• Support customer returns, product qualifications, and engineering evaluations requiring failure analysis.
• Perform non-destructive analysis, including optical inspection, X-ray, and scanning acoustic microscopy.
• Conduct destructive package- and die-level analysis, including soldering and desoldering, decapsulation, deprocessing, reballing, and cross-sectioning.
• Perform material analysis using SEM/EDX, wire bond mechanical testing, and other laboratory capabilities.
• Carry out electrical verification, application board testing, open/short and parametric analysis, fault isolation, and physical failure analysis with guidance.
• Prepare failure analysis reports and presentations, collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams, and improve response-time KPIs.

Requirements

• Graduate of a technical or vocational course.
• At least six years of experience in failure analysis or a similar discipline.
• Knowledge of failure analysis flows, non-destructive and destructive techniques, FA laboratory equipment, and semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety and advanced electrical testing; advanced skills in physical failure analysis techniques.
• Good vision and dexterity, analytical ability, computer literacy, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to follow complex procedures, manage priorities, communicate proactively, and collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams; no known allergy to chemicals.
