Sr. Failure Analysis Engineer (Hsinchu)

What you will do

• Investigate failed integrated circuits during development and production using electrical and physical failure analysis tools.
• Understand production functions and perform bench tests to verify failure modes.
• Identify root causes using semiconductor device, circuit, and manufacturing-process knowledge.
• Prepare failure-analysis reports and present the analysis process and results to internal production teams and customers.
• Collaborate with designers, factories, and customers on corrective actions and DOE plan verification.
• Study new IC technologies, packages, and failure-analysis methods while supporting other groups and customers.

Requirements

• MS degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuits, including voltage regulators, op-amps, CMOS circuits, SR latches, and D flip-flops.
• Basic knowledge of device physics and IC manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving, logic, scheduling, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of assembly and bumping processes.
