Network Engineer III - IN (Palo Alto & FortiGate)

What you will do

• Act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex network security and cloud security incidents.
• Provide expert support for Palo Alto, Fortinet, Azure networking, and hybrid network security architectures.
• Lead resolution of critical P1/P2 incidents, major outages, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Design and optimize secure architectures, segmentation strategies, VPNs, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Lead customer onboarding, large-scale migrations, cloud transformation, and security platform upgrades.
• Develop operational standards and runbooks, drive automation, collaborate with vendors, and mentor L1/L2 engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, security operations, or security architecture.
• Expertise with Palo Alto VM-Series, Panorama, FortiGate VM, FortiManager, and Azure networking and security services.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure VNets, vWAN, route tables, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Route Server, private endpoints, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
• Experience designing enterprise, cloud-native, hybrid, multicloud, segmented, micro-segmented, and Zero Trust security architectures.
• Expert troubleshooting skills in IPsec and SSL VPN, dynamic routing, NAT, URL and APP-ID, high-availability clusters, and performance optimization.
• Experience leading firewall migrations, cloud transformation projects, network modernization, and security platform lifecycle programs.

Nice to have

• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience with PowerShell, Python, Terraform, ARM/Bicep Templates, or Azure Automation.
• Palo Alto PCNSE or PCCSE certification.
• Fortinet NSE 4+ or FCP Network Security certification.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-700, AZ-900, AZ-500, or AZ-305.
• CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, or CCIE Security certification.
