Engineer I-Yield Enhancement (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Monitor and analyze wafer-process data to identify opportunities for product-yield improvement.
• Conduct root-cause failure analysis on defective wafers and semiconductor devices.
• Collaborate with process engineers and cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and optimize processes.
• Analyze and interpret Design of Experiments (DOE) data and support new-product introduction projects.
• Develop scripts, software tools, and basic machine learning tools for data cleaning, feature engineering, yield analysis, and automated reporting.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings in yield-review and problem-solving meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer processing, or yield engineering; internships and academic projects count.
• Understanding of wafer-fabrication processes and semiconductor device physics.
• Experience or coursework in failure-analysis techniques, including electron microscopy, elemental spectroscopy, or electrical testing.
• Strong statistical-analysis and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with Power BI, JMP, or R.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and yield-management systems.
• Programming experience with Python, VBA, SQL, or a similar language for data analysis.
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and safety procedures.
• Experience building machine learning models.
